Josie's first day of school

I awoke at 5:30 this morning to have some alone time with God. I read my Jesus Calling, and prayed that HE would just give my heart peace, turn off the tears, and help me put my "big girl" pants on! It was a sweet time to sip my coffee and my heart to be affirmed that he loves this little angel SO much more than I can fathom. I know this is just the beginning of many changes. I also know that at times I feel that I am in the refiner's fire, only to see shiny gold in the end!
Just thought I'd give you a glimpse of Josie Love's first day...look how excited she is!! I stand amazed at how independent she is. Her teacher seems SO sweet. When I picked her up, they affirmed me that she had a GREAT day. She walked in a straight line to lunch, sat in her chair during work time, and had a blast on the playground. He is SO sovereign. OVER and OVER and OVER again!!

Suzanne, I'm in tears of happiness! I don't comment much, but always read and I've been praying for Josie Love so much as her big adventure begins (my youngest daughter starts pre-school in a week and this has made me that much MORE eager/nervous for Josie and her mama!) Seeing her skip/gallop/float down those halls in her little skirt was a picture of His JOY come to life!!! When those sweet ladies/teacher called her by name my heart leapt! Thank you so much for posting this & know I'm praying Josie feels Jesus strolling those halls with her...and I'm also praying for a special friend to be in her class.
Congrats on this HUGE day!

This is so beautiful...I loved the part where even though she was running into the classroom, she still wanted her mama...brought tears to my eyes. She has bonded so well...and I totally understand that...it's a precious time.

Will be praying that God continues to give you peace that passes all understanding...His grace will be sufficient.

Blessings.

As I texted you yesterday, I could eat her with a spoon. Skipping down the hall, precious. Excited to see how that sweet child is going to change that school, teach everyone, put a face to HIV and prayerfully transform! Love you sister.
